Riyadh Buses officially launched back in March 2023, but the city’s Royal Commission has expanded the routes, destinations, and availability with its second phase. This eagerly awaited project was finalized on Monday, June 19, culminating in 24 extended routes and 500 new bus stops and stations. With nine new lanes and 200+ additional buses, travelers will have easier access across 1,120 kilometers.
Route 11 has been given its very own bus lane, resulting in a more efficient public transportation system, but the excitement doesn’t end there. The Riyadh Buses app will allow passengers to search schedules, track their rides, and even purchase Darb Card tickets. Ticket validity may vary, so be sure to choose the right option for you. 3-day, 7-day, and 30-day tickets are available, or a standard 2-hour pass can cost as low as SAR4.
The Riyadh City’s Royal Commission hopes to keep improving and upholding the city’s standards and provide seamless access for all residents and travelers.
